Meteorological Summer

Happy first day of meteorological summer!

With perfect timing, today the first ripe blueberries have been discovered on the bushes around my cabin. The blueberry season has begun. Mmmmm!

  1. Blueberries are one of my favorite fruits. Just like the brown bears who visit your cabin

    1. Hahaha! Richard! You must REALLY love blueberries, and so do I. I’m knocking on wood as I type this, but the bears here are mighty polite about my blueberries. They’ve suffered greatly from mange during the past couple of years but even before that they seemed to prefer the apples in my apple tree over the blueberries. Maybe my picking the ripe berries before the bears get them has something to do with that?

Thank you so much for reading my posts. I really appreciate having you as a reader.
