Long Long Ago

August 14, 2026

Long, long ago, there was no internet, no email. My Dad worked at the USPS as a mail clerk. Still, today we get mail. Not as much as there used to be. Often several days go by with no mail. But still those mail boxes are needed, representing times long ago with no internet, no email.

  1. Mailboxes today are filled with junkmail – not often with personal greetings from friends or family. A true loss.

    1. Hi Anita! Dad was always nearly falling asleep on Christmas morning after working so many hours of overtime. AND I have memories of him subbing for a carrier, when he delivered in our neighborhood. I went with him for part of the route.

So very glad you read my posts!
