I was really pleased to see a Monarch (Danaus plexippus) this afternoon, sipping nectar at a Wild Ageratum (Conoclinium coelestinum).

During late summer into autumn, their favorite sources for nectar are goldenrod, asters, wild ageratum and Joe-Pye weed.
