An Eastern Chipmunk (Tamias striatus) here in the mountains. Bringing back memories of Arlington, Virginia, with a family of chipmunks near the back door, scurrying across the patio, or tunneling under it. Such fun to watch as they scampered back and forth. And here now in our woods.

I love this photo! When I was a child, we went to Colorado for a little vacation each summer for a few years. My number one goal was to see and feed the chipmunks! I wanted one to take home, but that does not work! Hobbs and chipmunks are not made for each other. Thank you for bringing back that fun time! Love, B.
