I found some McIntosh apples a few days ago. My absolute favorite apple for pies. This afternoon I put together a Hatch Green Chile Apple Pie.
Sweets for the sweet. Made with Valentine’s Day in mind but we had some after dinner tonight. Yum!

Hatch chili with apples. That combo might be very tasty. I recently made apple pie with approx. 1 cup of diced green celery. That too was yummy. try fennel too.
Hi Sharon! My husband was born and raised in The Land Of Enchantment, New Mexico. And he enjoys the wonderful tastes of the southwest. I thoroughly enjoy that type meal as well, even though I’m not from New Mexico! That is why the Hatch Chile Apple Pie appealed to me.
