Spring Colors

What a joy to be out and about in the spring finding all the colors that have been sprinkled in the woods by Mother Nature. Such a kick after winter with its black and white landscape. Okay, not literally black and white. Many shades of brown, gray, white and the greens of evergreen trees. That’s my version of black and white, which I actually adore but enough is enough! Spring is here.

Today’s discovery, a new color thanks to spring, and a small evergreen herb, Hepatica (Hepatica nobilis). A plant that is native to eastern North America.

I do indeed love the black and white landscape of winter but I’m ready for more color. And I guarantee that by the time autumn is near it’s end, I will be all set for black and white again.

  1. Hi Brenda!!! I too am looking SO forward to SPRING! Buddy and I will be up there “camping” (clamping) with Wayne and Belinda mid-May and I can’t wait to see the wildflowers!!!

    • Hi Sue! Wonderful to hear from you. There will be SO MANY FLOWERS BLOOMING by mid-May! Perfect timing for you guys! We just walked out to the road along our lane, checking on the Redbud trees that Bill has put in. They’re healthy but reluctant to really bud out yet.

I just, earlier today, signed back up for yoga. I had my second knee replacement not too long ago and while I was recovering I managed to get my first case of COVID. Both Bill and I have gotten rid of symptoms we had — and I am so looking forward to getting back to normal!

I love that you’re reading my posts!! Sending you and Buddy hugs!
