Pie

Such strange times. Staying home ALL the time. Just me and my dear husband in the mountains in the middle of the forest. He’s able to focus. Cutting down trees that have grown up too close to our cabin. Pulling out his N gauge train set from long ago. I on the other hand am finding it hard to focus and get things done.

I did accomplish something this afternoon, in this odd stay at home time, I spent time baking. Those of you who know me won’t be surprised. I baked an apple pie. Gala apples. And yes, we have some ice cream to go with it. Comfort.

  1. using my working class New England accent, and cleaning it up a bit, I say Wicked good. yup, that’s the polite way of saying wicked good. You’re a joy. you share the goodness, the observations and insights. Many sit, observe and conserve but then the goodness goes nowhere, you are a blessing to our community. thanks

  2. That beautiful pie is comfort food! They are calling for snow showers here this week. Hope you see some too!

  3. Comfort looks so delicious! What a beautiful pie right down to the little hearts. I am not a baker but have been practicing a little with discarded sourdough starter. Today I am going to put together the dough for the first sourdough bread bake. I sure hope it turns out. Satisfying comfort. Stay well and peace to you!
