First Of The Season

Yesterday. Quite a surprise to see a Tiger Swallowtail this early. Normally my first sighting is at an apple tree in full bloom a month from now. This one was flitting from one yelllow Daffodil to another.

So very glad I just happened to see this one now.

  1. Great picture! I’ve seen a few of these butterflies as well. Also, I’ve seen quite a few of the Azure butterflies. On another note, the male cowbirds have arrived. I saw one yesterday and today, I saw 5 males on the feeder and 2 more in the tree. They appeared to be very hungry. Have a great day Bren!
