Late this afternoon snow was coming down at a good pace and the wind was whipping it up. I was looking out at the crazy weather when I got quite a surprise, a Bobcat (Lynx rufus).
This is only the fourth Bobcat that I’ve seen here at the cabin. And the third one was sighted here a year ago tomorrow. That one was seen late in the afternoon like this one. They are crepuscular so that makes sense.
What a strange feeling to realize this seems to be an annual event. I’ll have to watch for it next year.

I like the word Crepuscular. I love learning new words.
Hi Candy! So wonderful to hear from you!
Doing this blog has me learning (and often then forgetting) new words. There’s so very much to learn about nature.
So very glad that you read my posts!!

Very cool! We used to have one on Turkey Ridge years ago and he returned regularly.
Hey Buddy! Glad to hear of your Bobcat on Turkey Ridge. Aren’t they amazing. We don’t see one often at all, and I’m totally delighted when one comes through on a quick check of the yard.
Hoping you two are well!
So very glad that you read my posts.
